Our Story

La Danse Academie is a family-oriented studio dedicated to the individual development of each dancer. With a warm and welcoming learning environment, La Danse Academie educates well-rounded dancers who excel in the studio, onstage, and beyond!

We offer classes for dancers age 2-18 in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, pointe, and more!

 

La Danse Academie is an educational studio that fosters the love of performing and is proudly owned by Lori Bowen for over 25 years. 

 

A dance education provides students with strong life skills such as self-esteem, teamwork, responsibility, time management skills, and dedication to excel in both onstage and off.

In addition to our annual June recital, our dancers perform in our community, participating annually in the Dance For a Cause, Harlem Globetrotters, Joliet Slammers, Dance Fest, and entertaining local nursing home residents. We have also toured both nationally and internationally.

Our dancers are taught to have respect for themselves, respect for those around them, and a strong appreciation for the art of dance. Dancers are leveled into classes by age, and all classes are developed to be age-appropriate regarding music, costumes, and content.
